The miner was picking up a log that was ~6" x 8" and ~3' length. They tripped and fell. When they were falling, they put their hands down to catch the fall. The log landed on their left hand and broke 3 fingers. The miner was walking on a slope. The walk way was dry. There was nothing obstructing their pathway. Sunny day.

Cleaning opening in jaw crusher, pulling on V-belts, jaw cammed over and glove on right hand caught, pulling fingers around sheave.
