While walking down an incline to clean out an obstruction in a culvert caused by beaver activity, EE took a step and felt a burning sensation in EE's left knee area. EE has worked every day since and had a procedure on 02/27/2026. EE returned to work on EE's next scheduled shift.

Mostrando 50 de 55Injured and another employee was putting a set of scoop batteries on charge. Injured bent over to pick up the female end of the jumper cable when upon doing so, they felt a pain in their back going down right leg. We were not informed of the results from the specialist until 08/28/2025.
EE was at the bottom of the slope attaching the supply car to the 8-ton rail motor. EE reached outside the car to swing the coupling around to align with the motor. EE felt a pop in EE's back. EE had initially filed a file only report and wasn't take off work until 07/11/2025.
EE was sitting in the mantrip and tried to reposition self by pulling self up by the bar that is on the canopy. EE grabbed the bar with EE's left hand and attempted to pull self up. When EE did EE felt a pain in EE's left shoulder.
Employee was removing some curtain in 3 left cross cut. EE slung the curtain and as EE did EE's left hand struck a roof bolt plate.
Employee noticed a rope hanging out of the feeder. EE tried to pull it out and as EE pulled, it broke free causing EE to strike their arm against a pull cord smith bracket.
Employee was going to get some lolo pins which were under a rubber mat that was under a piece of metal. Employee began to remove the metal when it slipped out of their hands, and they reacted trying to catch it resulting in their right index finger becoming smashed between the metal and the carrier.
EE picked their tool bag up out of the tool box to put in a scoop bucket and felt a pull in their shoulder as EE swung the bag into the bucket.
Employee was attempting to unload a speed reducer at the track to take to the section. The speed reducer slipped while EE had a hand on it catching EE's fingers on the right hand between the shaft of the reducer and the lip of the ride. This resulted in a broken index finger and 7 stitches on the middle finger. Employee received a full release to return to work.
Employee was moving a rock out of the way of tool box, as employee moved employee twisted around and felt a pain in lower back. Started missing work 8/21/23.
Employee states EE was bolting top and a metal roof strap struck EE's right forearm and EE had a laceration that required 6 stitches.
Employee was picking up a CO/belt cable and caught their hand against a rock and cut their right 4th digit finger. Sutures were required.
While unloading supplies they cut their left ear on a piece of mesh roof wire. 2 stitches.
Employee was attaching a cable tie off strap to the low structure dolly when pulling up cable slack. They inadvertently caught left middle and ring fingers between the strap and dolly and fractured the finger tips in both fingers.
Employee was helping stack belt rollers and twisted back. Employee started missing on 3/31/2022
Employee was handling and loading belt structure stands into the scoop bucket. One on the stands was stuck. As EE pushed and another employee pulled on the stand, the stand broke free pinched EE's finger between the stand and scoop bucket. 6 sutures were required.
Employee was unhooking a pull chain when the chain tightened and caught EE's right 5th digit finger. Diagnosed with a fracture and a cut with 3 sutures.
Employee was troubleshooting a stuck bridge conveyor chain and caught foot under the bridge conveyor as it was being let down. EE was diagnosed with a fracture to a metatarsal bone in the foot.
Employee was handling a belt structure rail when a sharp edge penetrated EE's glove and cut EE's right ring finger. 3 sutures were required.
Employee was lifting & hanging mine cable which weighed more that 50 pounds. Strained lower back muscle.
The injured employee was standing adjacent to another employee who was pulling a piece of draw rock. As the rock fell the edge caught and struck the injured employees right forearm. Sutures were required to close the wound.
Employee stated was tossing roof bolts across the roof bolter and EE's knee started hurting. Employee did not notify mine management until 2/22/2021 and EE's immediate foreman was unaware of the injury. EE started missing work on 2/10/2021.
Employee was bending a 5' 3/4" rebar roof bolt and the bolt slipped and employee felt a pain in left arm and shoulder. Employee was diagnosed with a tear in the rotator cuff on 1/22/2021 and taken off work.
Employee was helping load high voltage cable into a supply car and felt a pain in the groin when EE pulled on cable. Started missing work 6/8/2020.
Employee lifted and carried a rail motor coupler and felt a pain in shoulder. EE injured this same shoulder in January 2019 that resulted in loosing time from work. It was thought that this was a re-occurrence but diagnostic tests results received by the operator on 6/2/2020 indicated that a new tear in the bicep was found in a different location than before.
Employee was removing an underground mandoor and the door inadvertently shut onto EE's left middle and ring fingers. A medical procedure and stitches were required on the finger tips.
Employee was handling and tossing steel track ties and one bounced up and struck EE on EE's left forearm. Sutures were required.

Employee was getting a rock out of the miner conveyor tail and pinched finger between the rock and miner tail. 8 sutures were required and EE returned back to work full duty the next shift.
Employee was getting some nails out of a box and left thumb come into contact with a discarded utility knife blade in the box and cut EE's thumb. 5 sutures were required
Employee was handling a belt hold down roller and caught his thumb and finger between the frame of the stacker and roller and cut his thumb and finger. Sutures were required.
Employee was loading roof bolter with supplies and a particle of dirt got into his eye. Antibiotic drops were prescribed for his eye.
