Mostrando los 17Employee was using pliers and his co-worker was using a hammer to connect green hose to D-502 tank. While closing the locking ears (cam locks), hammer slipped and hit the hand holding the pliers.
The employee was opening rail cars bottom hopper doors with a bar. When done he came back to his office and sat down he felt pain in the lower lumbar area of his back. The next day he had numbness in his left upper thigh.
The employee cut his right leg with a utility knife. He was cutting towards himself when the knife slipped off the hose and into his leg. He is on blood thinner therefore extra precautions were taken to control the bleeding. He received stitches at the hospital and was released without restrictions.

Employee was demolishing old equipment. He was cutting strapping that supported some piping at about head level. The utility knife slipped and cut his left arm, requiring sutures.
Employee was using a shovel to clean out the chute under the J.C. Steele metering bin. The shovel got caught and smashed the employee's finger between the shovel handle and the trough.
Accident occured as EE was bent over under railcar in attempt to pry a stop chock away from the wheel of a rail car. Using a pry bar (12-15 lbs) swung the bar twisting his upper body and back.
While opening a bulk bag using as a trash bag, cut finger with a box cutter. Cut middle finger wihile holding bulk bag, as he was cutting the bag razor slipped and contacted finger.
EMPLOYEE WAS CLEANING THE FEED BOX OF A VIBRATORY SCREEN UNIT WITH A LENGTH OF FLATBAR AS A SCRAPER. THE FLATBAR BECAME LODGED ON THE FEED BOX, SLIPPED AND CUT THE EMPLOYEE'S LEFT HAND.
USING HAMMER HE STRUCK LEFT SHIN.
REMOVING A ROTO VALVE WITH COME-A-LONG. PUSHED THE VALVE WITH HIS HAND THE VALVE SWUNG OUT PINCHING HIS HAND BETWEEN 2 FLANGES.
EE WAS REPAIRING GEARBOX AT K-1 DRYER. EE WAS HOLDING A PIECE OF PIPE WHICH WAS BEING USED AS ASPACER FOR TRYING TO DRIVE A DISC ON A SHAFT. ANOTHER EE WAS HITTING THE END OF THE PIPE WITH A S LEDGE HAMMER. A PIECE OF METAL FLEW OFF, HITTING EE IN THE CHIN.
EMPLOYEE STRAINED RIGHT SHOULDER WHILE REPLACING MOTOR IN THE SCREENER ROOM. WHILE TIGHTENING BOLT, THE RATCHET BROKE.
