A miner was installing a 6-inch 60D nail into a board. The miner missed the nail and struck their left thumb causing a crushing injury that required stitches.

A miner was turning a pipe with a pipe wrench in one hand, and their other hand on the top of the pipe where an elbow was located. The pipe turned faster than the miner expected, and the miners thumb got caught in the elbow, bending it back.

A miner was stripping electrical wires with a utility knife. The knife came out of the insulation as the miner pulled it down and came into contact with EE's right wrist, cutting the arm.

A miner was installing a ground support timber, and when attempting to reposition the timber with an axe, the miner pinched their right index finger between the axe and the timber, fracturing the finger. The finger required stitches.

Employee was driving a holdown wedge on a shaft timber when the axe that he was using glanced off the rock wall and struck him on his left pinky finger, causing a fracture.

While repairing flaker belt, left middle finger was caught between dr. knife and belt. Caused a laceration requiring 8 stiches.

While working in shaft, the shaft level fell from the ladder falling about 5 to 10 feet. Hit miner, smashing his hand between the level and the chipping hammer.

While timbering in a mine, the mine axe in use bounced back striking employee in the head above the right eye, required stitches.

Operator was observing another operator swing a hammer sheering bolts with a wedge. The hammer struck the hood for the flaker belt and bounced back, striking him in the arm.

While trying to remove a bearing with a pry bar a piece of it broke off, hitting him in the face. Imbedded in left cheek.

Employee was holding a wire cable on a pulley to steady it. His glove caught on the cable and his thumb was pulled into the pulley injuring him.

Miner was setting a stall. He was lifting an axe over head and strained his middle back while swinging an axe.

EE WAS REPAIRING SHAFT. HE WAS SWINGING AN AXE DOWNWARD DRIVING IN A TIMBER. ON THE WAY DOWN THE AXE STRUCK A SUPPORT, DEFLECTING THE AXE ONTO THIS RIGHT FOOT.

EMPLOYEE WAS USING A 3/4" WRENCH TO TURN NUT ON A PUMP PACKING GLAND. THE MAJORITY OF THE STRAIN OF THE WRENCH WAS ON HIS FINGER.

PULLED MSUCLE IN RT FOREARM WHILE CLOSING VISE GRIP PLIERS DIAGNOSED AS MUSCLE STRAIN BUT LATERREQUIRED SURGERY ON 1/16/01

BREAKING OUT DRILL PIPE WITH PIPE WRENCH. WHEN PIPE WRENCH BROKE LOOSE WRENCH SMASHED FINGER AGAINST STACKED OUT PIPE.

EE WAS BANDING 2 X 4'S WHEN THE BAND BROKE DUE TO OVER TIGHTENING. THE BANDER HIS HIM IN THE LIP.

TIGHTENING PIPE WITH WRENCH, THE WRENCH SLIPPED PINCHING FINGER BETWEEN WRENCH AND STRUCTURE.

WHILE OBTAINING MATERIALS FROM WAREHOUSE, GOT HIT IN MOUTH WITH AXE

EE WAS HITTING A SHIN W 8LBS SLEDGE PINCHED NERVE IN ELBOW.

SCRAPING PAIN FROM A MOTOR LABEL GOT PAIN CHIP IN EYE.

HAMMERING ON PUNCH A FRAGMENT BROKE OFF AND IMBEDDED IN LITTLE FINGER LEFT HAND.
