The EE was using a cutting torch while working on a S/C conveyor chain. The torch slipped out of EE's hand. As EE went to pick it up EE's knee contacted the hose and spun the torch head causing it to go across EE's right thumb.

Mostrando los 23EE was cutting a rock box off of an idle tail piece. As EE was adjusting position in the rock box the flame of the torch went across right hand. Leaving EE with a burn on right hand.
The EE was trouble shooting a hydraulic hose on the foot of the ATRS. EE had swung the off side bolter head out so that ee could get in between it and the ATRS. Another EE was coming up the side of the RB hanging cable and started the machine and swung the head in out of way to hang cable. Which in turn pinched the first EE in between the ATRS and the bolter head.
Employee was back dragging a drill bench when he backed over an embankment and roll his dozer over onto its side.
Employee was ripping rock with a dozer and when he went to back up the left side track dropped in a 3 foot hole causing a jolt to the operator.
Employee was using an air wrench to tighten bolts in the floor board of his dozer and pinched his finger. Had stitches put in.
EE was watching the electric cable on a 2800 electric shovel which was moving. The cable had slack in it and as that slack was pulled out the EE was not far enough away from the cable when the slack came out striking him on his right knee dislocating it. As cable was pulled, the shovel door opened striking the cable jerking it into the EE.
Injured party was pressure washing a hyd. cylinder with a pressure washer. He was using a 2' wand to wash with instead of the 4' wand. The wand slipped out of his left hand & caught his finger. He required 4 sutures to close up the wound. He came back to work & did not miss any work days.
EE was approximately 20 feet away from a mechanic that was using a grinder when the grinding wheel disintegrated and a piece flew over and cut his right wrist.
EE said his seat in his D11 dozer bottomed out and hurt his back.
EE was operating a D10 heading towards the north west face. EE(Forman)was traveling back to get with EE when he noticed the D10 had backed over a steep spoil pile. When the foreman opened the cab door he saw that EE had hit his head . He received 5 stitches
EE was operating a Blast Hole Drill when a drill steel came lose from the carrousel at the top of drill mast. He and the Mechanic was trying to set it back into the rack when the steel shifted and pinched his wrist between two drill steels. Took him to Hospital where they took xrays and found he had a hairline crack in his wrist.
Was helping change blown hose on 375 hoe when the socket on the air wrench he was using broke and cut hand between index finger and middle finger. He required 6 stitches.
EMPLOYEE WAS GRINDING WELD OFF WHEN THE GRINDER JERKED OUT OF HIS HANDS AND HIT HIS RIGHT KNEE.
An employee was sitting in his rock truck being loaded by an electric shovel when the door of the bucket on the shovel accidently opened while swinging towards the rock truck striking the side of the bed of the truck in a forceful manner.
Employee was operating roof bolter. He was holding drill steel in top. Swung canopy and hit hand pinching it between the drill steel and canopy.
Employee was operating a twin boom roof bolter. Hand was on the drill steel top of pot. Employee started the rotation before removing hand from drill steel. Corner of the pot caught his glove wrapping his hand around the drill steel in the pot. All employees were instructed about placement of hands while drilling.
EE WAS STANDING ON THE DISCHARGE BELT OF THE HIGHWALL MINER DOING MAINTENANCE WHEN THE BELT LINE WAS ACCIDENTALLY ENGAGED THROWING HIM TO THE GROUND SIX FEET BELOW LANDING ON HIS RIGHT FOOT.
EE HAD JUST FINISHED GRINDING ON A METAL SURFACE AND TOOK HIS SHEILD OFF WHEN A HARD SURFACE WELD CRACKED AND POPPED A PIECE OF SLAG IN HIS EYE. (JUST RECIEVED PAPER WORK ON REPORTABLE.)
Employee was setting a beam on the canopy of the roof bolter to support it to the roof. The beam slipped off the other side of the canopy causing the side the employee was on to raise into the top smashing his thumb between the beam and roof.
EMPLOYEE WAS HELPING CHANGE STEMS ON A DRILL AND WHILE LOWERING THE STEM THROUGH THE DECK, THE STEM CAUGHT THE EDGE OF THE DECK AND KICKED OUT PINCHING HIS HAND BETWEEN TWO STEMS.
EE WAS CUTTING OFF THE END OF A TAIL PIPE WITH A PORTABLE GRINDER WHEN THE EDGE OF THE CUTTING STONE CAUGHT THE TAIL PIPE & SWUNG BACK AT HIM CUTTING INTO HIS LEFT FOREARM.
EE WAS BUILDING A ROAD PUSHING TREES OVER IN AN OPEN CAB JOHN DEERE 550 DOZER WHEN A TREE BRANCH ENTERED THE CAB AND PINCHED HIS LEFT HAND AGAINST THE CONTROL LEVER.
