Employee was enlarging pilot hole in a guard he was building with a electric drill when bit caught and forced drill from his hand. The drill spun around and the handle struck his right wrist. He broke his 4th Meta carsal bone in his right wrist.
When grinding a bushing apparently a piece flew up and cut Mike in the neck, just below his chin. Mike had a laceration 1 1/2" long which required 9 stitches.
WHILE BAGGING HYDRATED LIME INTO 50# BAGS A BAG BURST AND THE LIME DISPERSED OUTWARD BOUNCING OFF EE'S CHEST AND GOING UNDERNEATH HIS SAFETY GLASSES. EE RECEIVED CORNEAL ABRASIONS TO BOTH EYES .
EMPLOYEE REMOVED SIDE COVER PLATE (8" X 10") FROM THE FULLER KINYON PUMP & REACHED INSIDE WITH HIS LEFT HAND. PUMP WAS IN OPERATION & HOUSED A 6" AUGER. HE WAS LOOKING FOR THE CAUSE OF THE RIY MONS GRINDING MILL TO BE OUT OF MATERIAL. EMPLOYEE LOST 4 FINGERS ON HIS LEFT HAND.
EE WAS HELPING TO CHANGE BELTS ON PRATER MILL. THE MILL WAS PARTIALLY CHOKED UP. ONE PERSON WAS PULLING ONT HE BELT AND IT WOULD NOT MOVE SO HE REACHED INSIDE THE MILL AND PULLED A FIN TO DISL ODGE AND WHEN IT MOVED IT CAUGHT HIS GLOVE AND PULLED HIS INDEX FINGER UNDER THE FIN AND IT TOOK OFF APPROX. 1/2" OF HIS FINGER TIP. HE DID NOT REQUIRE STITCHES AND RETURN TO WORK.
