Mostrando los 9Mechanic was standing by service truck with back to machine when Bed Rock mechanic moved excavator and pinned 1st mechanic against service truck with the bucket.
Technician was removing bottom guard from machine. Guard was held with a lifting strap attached to the work truck. When the guard was removed it shifted to one side caused by the material that was inside the guard. This resulted in EE's finger being caught between the ground and impact gun. This caused a laceration and broken bone on EE's left pointer finger.
A 3/8" plate being installed by contractor broke off and hit contractor in face.
EE was holding counter sunk bolt up in position while using impact to loosen nut, impact caused bolt to turn cutting palm of EE left hand.
Gear tooth broke on hydraulic motor causing the tire manipulator to jump striking employee on the right side of the body.
EE was at a Martin Marietta (customer) job site and was using a customer provided 1" drive impact wrench to loosen/tighten bolts while changing out blow bars on a crusher. Protruding pin from impact wrench extension caught EE's glove & twisted EE's R hand, bending thumb way back. EE sustained strain to hand, causing soft tissue/ligament damage/swelling. MRI ordered.
Employee accidentally pulled the trigger for the torch while cleaning the tip of it with his glove, burning some of his finger on his left hand.
EE was using a grinder with a cup style steel wire brush on a conveyor frame structure. He noticed about an hour after completing his work that he had a knot forming on his right forearm and pain began to occur. He went to an urgent care center and they determined that a piece of the wire brush was lodged in his arm.
