While welding underneath a test stand, spal fell down and landed on employee's leg. He was unable to move in time to get it off. On 1/17/08 employee noticed his leg had become infected because it was a large red area around the burn. Employee went to the hospital and was diagnosed with a staph infection. Employee received antibiotics.

A shaft that secures a wheel on a tire balancing machine broke. The EE's finger was caught between the machine and the wheel, causing a laceration and a fracture to the tip of his left ring finger. The machine was tagged out and will be replaced with a larger capacity model. Training is being provided to prevent over-torqueing of shaft.
Employee was "striking an arc" with one hand and holding the welding helmet with the other hand. He did not properly use the welding helmet and received "welder's flash." Employee is being trained on proper welding techniques to prevent any further injuries.
EE was using an electric, hand held drill to drill a hole in a broken bolt to get it out. The drill bit caught and twisted the drill and the ee's arm.
CLEANING OUT A PIECE OF EQUIPMENT (VSI) WITH AN AIR CHISEL. A PIECE OF DIRT OR ROCK GOT INTO HIS RIGHT EYE.
EMPLOYEE WAS OPERATING OVERHEAD JIB HOIST TO MOVE A HYDRAULIC CYLINDER. AS THE CYLINDER WAS BEING LOWERED IT BEGAN TO SWING AROUND. EE TRIED TO GRAB AHOLD OF IT AND IN DOING SO HE PULLED OR TW ISTED HIS LEFT SHOULDER.
WAS REBUILDING A PTO AND SHAFT WHICH WAS ONT HE FLOOR, WHEN HE WAS ATTEMPTING TO USE A HOIST TO LIFT THE SHAFT A STRAP CAUGHT ON THE SHAFT NUT CAUSING IT TIP OVER AND FALL OCROSSED HIS RIGHT F OOT.
WHILE USING CUTTING TORCH TO CUT A BOLT ON TOP OF A SCREEN SHAKER, A SPARK BLEW IN THE WIND AND ENTERED UNDER HIS SAFETY GLASSES/SHIELD AND WAS LODGE IN CORNER OF LEFT EYE CAUSING IRRITATION/S WELLING.
WHILE GRINDING ON A CONE TOP, A HOT SPARK CAME DOWN BETWEEN HIS SHEILD AND LANDED IN HIS EYE. THE PEICE OF METAL BURNED INTO EYE AND HE COULDN'T RELIEVE THE PAIN.
