Miner is a Mill operator and was operating a C4S Packing machine. Miner was palletizing 50 lb. bags of C4S material when he felt a sharp pain suddenly in his left forearm area. Miner was taken for medical evaluation, and placed on lifting restrictions until a scheduled MRI X-ray can be conducted. Miner is working w/restrictions.

Mostrando los 7Incident occurred 08/17/07 and was reported by miner, 08/20/07. Miner was assisting Mine Supt. in moving some large Mine fans to new positions for draft air, during which a fan was re-started and the miner inhaled small cloud of dust causing some lung irritation. No mask was worn, but was available. Medical, Breathing Treatments and shot. Miner has returned to full work.
Miner was attempting to activate the load-out chute @ the chip's bin, when upon pushing the manual lever forward to start loading, he stated the lever was "tight", and required more leverage to push. Miner stated he felt a slight "Pop" behind/below kneecap, and soreness developed in upper calf, (L), miner was evaluated and diagnoised with a strained calf.
He was drilling a hole with a electric drill in a chevy truck frame to install a backup alarm. A foriegn object fill behind his safety glasses and went into his right eye.
GRINDING WHEEL BROKE APART.
EE STATES THAT METAL SHAVINGS OR ROCK DUST GOT INTO HIS EAR WHILE HE WAS WORKING ON CRUSHER (WELDING).
EE WAS WORKING WITH AIR HAMMER. HE REMOVED HIS GLOVE TO GET A BETTER GRIP AND OVER A PERIOD OF TIME FROZE HIS HAND.
