Employee was jackhammering when a piece of hot material fell from above and hit him on the neck and head. He suffered burns to his left hand and neck area as well as a broken right thumb.
EE was using the high pressure water blaster to clean in the preheater tower. He pulled the gun out of one port & went to another. The trigger engaged and the high pressure water was aimed at EE's foot. The water cut through his boot and into his right foot, causing a deep puncture wound.
Employee was welding patches on the walls inside the bottom part of the dust collector when over a period of time his right arm became inflamed.
EE was attempting to see if a feeder was plugged so he had the feeder started. When it started, the edge of the pile gave way and EE slid in with the material.
Employee was using an airlance for an extended time to help the flow of iron ore. The result was a strained left shoulder.
Employee was attempting to use compressed air to bow down some sticky material. He forgot to turn off the air cannons and opened up a 1" hole to put the air lance into. Just as he was inserting the air lance, the air cannon fired and blew hot dust out the hole knocking his face shield and glasses off his head. He got hot dust into both eyes. He has scratches on both eyes.
Ee was pulling on a slack cable and got his hand too close to a pulley. The pulley caught his glove and pulled his fingers in.
WHILE DOING ROUTINE MAINTENANCE HAND BECAME PINCHED BETWEEN CLEVIS AND HEAD OF RETRACTING PNEUMATIC RAM.
