While an employee was cleaning out a 20" slurry line that was clogged with material. Water pressure and sand blew out of a ball valve that was being used to unclog the material. The water pressure and some steam that came out of the ball valve, landed on the employee causing minor 1st degree burns on his abdomen and leg areas. This also caused a contusion to his left shoulder.
