Mostrando los 5Loader Operator began having neck pain approximately two weeks prior to reporting. Employee believes the symptoms are from "bumping around in the loader."
THE EE WAS SITTING IN DUMP TRUCK BEING LOADED WITH SAND/GRAVEL. THE LOADER OPERATOR DROPPED THE MATERIAL INTO THE DUMP BOX TOO HARD, WHICH CAUSED THE EE'S BACK TO POP AND LOSE SOME FEELING IN HIS LEFT LEG FOR A LITTLE WHILE. EE WENT TO THE DOCTOR ON 6/3/04. HE RECEIVED MEDICATION TO RELAX HIS BACK; NO RESTRICTIONS, RETURN TO DRIVE DUMP TRUCK.
ON 6/21/01 THE EMPLOYEE DECLINED ANY MEDICAL ATTENTION, THEN ON JULY 11, 2001 HE REQUESTED TO SEE HIS DOCTOR FOR TREATMENT. STATUS CHANGED TO REPORTABLE. THE EMPLOYEE WAS OPERATING A FRONT END LOADER, WHEN HE HIT A BUMP & THE SEAT BOTTOMED OUT JARRING HIS BACK, HIS LEFT ARM ALSO HIT THE SEAT ARM REST WHEN REACHING FOR THE CB RADIO.
THE EMPLOYEE CLAIMS THAT THE GROUND AT THIS LOCATION WAS VERY ROUGH. THIS CAUSED THE FRONT END LOADER TO BOUNCE, WHICH RESULTED IN HIMSELF BOUNCING IN THE SEAT. THIS MAY HAVE STRAINED HIS LOWE R BACK.
