No treatment @ time. 1/22/10 MD, diagnosed arthritis, meds given for arthritis no work restrictions. Further treatment given. 3/18/10 MD states treatment due to arthritis & to fall. MSHA contacted w/info, determined fall agrivated pre-existing arthritis making it reportable.
Two employees were placing a plastic 55 gal. barrel onto a barrel cart/stand. The cart/stand was used to store the barrel on its side for dispensing. The employee on the handles of the cart/stand lost his footing as the barrel was layed onto its side & fell into a sitting position. The barrel slid down the handles & struck him in the left lower leg, fracturing his tibia.
