EE was attempting to reposition a metal section of the vent tubing so that the tube mated better with the section already mounted in the back. EE was wearing belt & lanyard but when attempted to reach a clamp he loosen his lanyard & he stepped on the rail to reach the clamp; when he reached the clamp & cable, the tubing gave away & fell. The EE fell on vent tubing and then ground.

HE WAS GOING TO SHUT OFF THE CONVEYOR AND SLIPPED ON SOME ICE/SNOW, FELL, AND FRACTURED HIS LEFT LEG.
EMPLOYEE SLIPPED ON ICY EQUIPMENT AND CUT RIGHT ELBOW REQUIRING THREE STITCHES.
