Mostrando los 5Employee was exiting the #7 excavator. We have had several days of rain, it was a light drizzle and the ground was muddy. EE felt EE's left foot start to slip, and EE grabbed the handrails and caught self before falling. EE didn't fall, but EE's feet slipped around and EE felt a sharp pain in EE's lower back.
Employee was lifting a 70lb battery from a pickup truck into the cabinet of an excavator. No pain was noted at the time, but later in the evening while taking a shower, employee noticed a protruding lump on the right side around the belt/waistline area. This has since been diagnosed as a hernia and surgery has been scheduled.
Employee was changing a screen in a portable screen machine. EE was climbing a short ladder attached to the catwalk, EE's foot slipped off the bottom rung and EE fell against the metal ladder injuring EE's right shoulder. Testing showed a torn rotator cuff and employee had surgery on January 16, 2025 to repair the tear
Employee was walking up steps to get to a loader when they slipped. They held onto the rail but felt a pull right leg. Additional testing indicated a pulled hamstring requiring physical therapy and resulting in lost work days
