Employee was splitting stone with his splitter when a piece of the chisel he was using came off and struck his left hand causing a small cut. Physician removed the small piece of metal and put 2 stitches in his left hand. He returned to work the next morning, no time off or lost days.

Mostrando los 3EMPLOYEE WAS STACKING ASHLAR STYLE QUARTZITE STONE. HE HAD COMPLETED THE PALLET AND WAS PICKING UP HIS TOOLS WHEN THE EDGE OF THE STONE FELL OVER PINNING HIS HAND TO THE GROUND. WHEN HE PULLED HIS HAND FREE THE STONE CUT HIM. THE ACCOUNT I HAVE IS FROM THE SPLITTER HIMSELF. NO ONE SAW WHAT HAPPENED UNTIL HE WAS FREE.
THE FOREMAN HAD LEFT AFTER SHIFT. IT WAS DOUBTED THAT IT WAS EVEN A WORK INJURY. FOREMAN DETERMINED 3 EE'S WERE USING DRUGS. THE TRIBAL OFFICE CALLED THEM IN FOR TESTING AND THE 3 MEN DID NOT SHOW FOR TESTING, NOR LATER TO WORK. THEY ALL QUIT. THIS REPORT IS LATE AS WE JUST REC'D BOOK FROM INSPECTOR.
