Over-exertion (Not Elsewhere Classified)

Employee hurt her shoulder and back when she fell while carrying an item. She lost her footing and tripped walking up the stairs. She caught herself with her left hand on the right handrail resulting in her crossing her body/midline

Employee lacerated thumb when he placed it in the line of fire to hold a bolt when it began to slip which resulted in the bolt cutting through his glove, causing a laceration to the left thumb.

Contact with hot objects or substances

Maintenance employee received 2nd degree burns when the pressurized coolant cap blew off, spraying the employees left forearm. Blistered skin removed using forceps and small scalpel at local medical center as part of treatment. No work restrictions or time lost.

Struck against a moving object

Mine employee experienced knee pain while operating water truck 677.

Absorption of radiations, caustics, toxic and noxious substances

Employee brushed/bumped against a flange on a pipeline in the SX noting discomfort and rash on his right arm. Rash worsened the next day with PA stating the rash may have been aggravated by workplace exposures.

Contact with heat

Leach employee began feeling dizzy, experiencing signs of heat related illness, after gathering supplies from connex.
