Employee hit knee on "C" clamp while being freed from material spillage. Employee also hit head on plant.

Installing a hydraulic hose in the D6R cab tech needed to tighten the hose further. EE bent, scooted further down. One wrench in right hand and one in the left. EE pushed down on the left wrench while holding up on the right hand. Tech stood up felt a tight cramp above belly button. EE thought pulled abdominal muscle. Later saw bulge under belly button.

I HAD TAKEN THE CRANE & BASKER TO THE #10 CONVEYOR TO REPLACE SOME BAD IDLERS. I POSITIONED AND SET UP TO MAKE A LIFT. THE REPAIR CREW WAS ALREADY WORKING ON THE ROLLERS TO BE REPLACED. AS I W AS STARTING TO LIFT AN EE IN THE BASKET, I SAW SOMETHING FALL INTO THE PILE OF SAND BELOW THE BELT. I IMMEDIATELY LOWERED THE BASKET TO THE GROUND & THE EE RAN TO CALL FOR HELP. I WENT TO SEE
TIGHTENING MAIN BEARINGS ON ENGINE. TORQUE WRENCH SLIPPED & HIS HELPER DROPPED IT.

INJURED SAID THAT HE MUST HAVE INJURED BACK AT GM ON 4-11-97 WHILE WORKING ON SUBFLOOR FOR SAND PUMPS. DID NOT LET SUPERV KNOW THAT HE INJURED HIS BACK AT THAT TIME. SAW DR 4-12-97. DR SAID HE MUST HAVE SLIPPED SOMETHING.
WAS CLIMBING ONTO A SCRAPER PAN WHEN HE FELT A PAIN IN HIS BACK. TOOK HIM TO ER WHERE HE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH ACUTE LUMBAR STRAIN.
