The miner had previously inspected and barred down the heading before drilling. An unseen rock fell from the rib onto the bench and slid down striking the driller in the back. The driller then walked to a nearby worker and they determined that he should go to the clinic for further examination.

Miner was longhole drilling and trying to replace his steel and lost control of the drill, pinching his right hand between the leg and drill. Miner was taken to clinic and X-ray showed a minor fracture of the right wrist. Miner placed on light duty with no time lost.
While re-routing a 4" compressed air line a rock, measuring 1'x1'x8" being held in place and hidden from view by the air line, fell from 9' high & hit the miner on the right hand & foot. Cut on middle toe, 6 days later, was infected & miner was checked into hospital.

STOPPED BUGGY ON DECLINE SLOPE. TOOK EQUIPMENT OUT OF GEAR, STARTED TO ROLL. SAID HE COULDN;T GET IT BACK IN GEAR. SAID COULDN'T STOP. HE THEN JUMPED OFF MOVING EQUIPMENT, BREAKING HIS LEG WHE N HE LANDED.
EE WAS PULLING BACK OUT OF HOLE PREVIOUSLY DRILLED. LEFT HAND WAS PLACED UNDER MACHINE ON LEG CONTROL OF TOYO 280 DRILL. THE LEG KICKED OUT AND LEFT THUMB WAS CAUGHT BETWEEN MACHINE AND LEG. G EE SUSTAINED A OPEN FRACTURE.
WHILE IN THE PROCESS OF SCALING BACK IN THE 4304STOPE AREA, A SMALL PIECE OF LOOSE DISLODGED, CHASING DOWN THE LENGTH OF SCALING BAR, STRIKING EMPLOYEE IN THE MOUTH. HE SUSTAINED CONTUSED LIPS AND A CHIPPED TOOTH.
EE RETRIEVED 913 EMICO LHD FROM AN U/G LOCATION AND PARKED IN FRONT OF SHOP. IN THE PRODCESS OF DISMOUNTING FROM OPERATORS COMPARTMENT TO GROUND, TWISTED OR TURNED IN A POSITION THAT CAUSED A SHARP PAIN IN LOWER BACK. STRAIN/SPRAIN LOW BACKMUSCLES.

EE WAS ROOF BOLTING AND IN THE PROCESS OF DRIVING A 5" SPLIT SET BOLT DISLODGED A SMALL PIECE OF LOOSE WHICH STRUCK HIM IN THE MOUTH CHIPPIJNG TWO UPPER FRONT TEETH.
IN PREPARATION OF ROOF BOLTING, CARRIED GD DRILL MACHINE INTO FACE AREA AND IN LEANING IT AGAINST RIB LISLODGED A SMALL PIECE OF LOOSE WHICH FELL STRIKING THE INSTEP OF HIS RIGHT FOOT. A SMALL LACERATION AND CONTUSIONS WERE SUSTAINED. SUTURES (3) REQUIRED FOR CLOSING. ROCK 1'X 3"X3"
