Employee was repairing the crusher and claims he started slipping, he grabbed onto the frame of the crusher. This according to employee caused him to strain his back. The doctor is doubtful that he was injured and told us that he is not showing up for his appointments.
He was helping replace 4 foot conveyor apron, while positioning it into place he says he strained a muscle. Two other employees doing the same job had no problems.Main contributing factor in the injury was due to his lack of physical condition, which we have no control.A person his age and body build, should have no problems doing this job. No impairment, just minor shoulder pain.
SLIP & FALL--EE WAS WALKING FROM SHAKER TO TOOL TRAILER DID NOT SEE ROCK WHEN STEPPING DOWN FROM ONE LEVEL TO ANOTHER APPROX. 12" SLIPPED & HIT REAR ON CONVEYOR FRAME. NO INJURY RESULTED OTHE THAN MILD SORENESS ON BUTTOCKS.
