Employee was closing a shale gate. The gate did not fully close and EE used the handle lever (detachable square tubing) to strike against the gate. In doing so, EE hit EE's hand on the gate fracturing the tip of EE's left ring finger. Also lacerated the finger the required stitches.

OVER A TWO MONTH TIME PERIOD THE EMPLOYEE'S ARM STARTED TO HURT. HE NOTIFIED US ON 9-8-03 AND THEN WENT TO A DOCTOR. UPPER ARM OR SHOULDER STRAIN.
