2 employees were removing a set of large bolts with a 3/4" impact and a backup wrench. The employee holding the backup allowed a hand to slip and had left index finger smashed against the equipment, resulting in 6 stiches. Medical care was handled quickly and without delay.

This resulted in a glancing blow which allowed for the wrist to be hyperextended. This resulted in modified duty, and is a recordable injury.
Mechanic was using a 14oz. ball peen hammer and a punch to remove 3 stripped bolts. Employee used the hammer and punch off and on for approximately 1 hour before the bolts were removed.
