The employee was driving a wedge with a sledge hammer and struck his left index finger with the hammer. Ex-ray showed a hairline fracture to his left index finger. Splint was applied and he returned to operating his shuttle car his next scheduled shift.

Mostrando los 17The employee was jacking the tail roller in the belt feeder and the jack handle slipped. He fell and twisted his left leg. Sprain to calf muscle.
The employee was using a sledge hammer to knock a pin back in the belt feeder and a piece of metal flew fromthe hammer head and lodged in his right index finger. The piece of metal was removed and 7 sutures were required.
The ee was jacking a bus back on track. The bus was raised with a lifting jack & the ee & co-worker were using a post as a pry bar to push the bus toward the rail. The jack kicked out and the post swung down and sideways, striking his right upper leg. This caused his knee to bend inward. The ee completed his shift, but swelling developed. Cat-scan revealed a torn meniscus.
Employee was assisting in changing a busted water line and was using a come-a-long to pull the pipe. The chain slipped and struck his left hand. The x-ray was negative, bruise.
Injured was shoveling belt when he struck his right elbow on belt structure.
Injured was using bolt cutter to cut bolts off lights. He bruised his chest and has a torn cartlidge from rib to breastbone.
The employee was cutting curtain and the razor knife slipped and cut his stomach. The laceration was to the outer skin, 3/4" long with little bleeding. The employee finished his shift and because of the location of the cut decided to see a physician. The laceration was cleaned and four stitches were inserted. The employee returned to work his next scheduled shift.
Injured was helping to hang a curtain and struck his right hand with a hammer causing a bruise.
Fellow employee was tightening a crib with a 3 lb hammer. Hammer slipped out of his hand striking injured in cheat causing a bruise.
SETTING CRIBS AND BARS ALONG TRACK ENTRY. HE WAS HOLDING A CRIB TO BLOCK ABOVE THE BEAM AND HIS CO-WORKER WAS USING A SLEDGE HAMMER TO MAKE IT FIT. THE CO-WORKER MISSED THE CRIB AND STRUCK THE EE RIGHT INDEX FINGER. X-RAY SHOWED A BREAK IN THE TIP OF HIS RIGHT INDEX FINGER. HE RETURNED TO WORK HIS NEXT SHIFT ON REGULAR DUTY
EE WAS USING A COME-ALONG WITH A CHAIN THAT WAS BOLTED TOGETHER. THE BOLT BROKE AND THE COME-ALONG FELL, STRIKING EE ON LEFT KNEE & CAUSING A FRACTURE.
The employee was using a red-devil to take a kink out of the track. while using the red-devil the hole for the bar broke and the bar sprung and struck the ee's right thumb. the ex-ray showed a fracture and six stitches were needed. the employee returned to work the next day restricted duty.
The employee de-railed the mantrip and was using a jack and bar to put the mantrip back on the rail. while using the jack, the handle slipped out of his hand and struck the ee's mouth. the ee's front teeth were damaged and dental work was needed.
The ee was helping clean the top off the miner and was using a pry bar to remove a rock. he finished his shift but later informed the foreman that there was pain in his right shoulder. the ex-ray was negative, muscle pull to right shoulder.
TWO EE WERE USING A HAMMER TO DRIVE A RIB IN THEMINE FLOOR TO SET A TAIL PIECE. THE INJURED EE WAS WORKING ON BELT STRUCTURE IN THIS AREA. A SMALL PIECE OF METAL FLEW FROM THE HAMMER HEAD & LODGED IN THE EE RIGHT HAND.THE EE WAS WEARINGGLOVES, HOWEVER THE METAL STUCK THE EE ABOVE THE CUFF OF THE GLOVE.
INJURED WAS WORKING ON FEEDER PRYED DOWN ON SLATE BAR AND SLATE BAR SLIPPED CATCHING LEFT PINKIE FINGER BETWEEN FEEDER FLYGHT AND SLATE BAR CAUSING A CONTUSION.
