Employee was removing a bolt from a filter housing using an 18 inch extension on a breaker-bar. As torque was applied to the breaker-bar the extension broke lacerating his palm against the broken extension. The laceration required two stitches to close.

Mostrando los 27EE, a section mechanic was making a splice on a miner cable and as he went to lower the cable his left hand came in contact with a razor knife which caused a laceration that required stitches.
EE was helping replace a section of ventilation tubing. As he was holding up the tube another miner was attempting to attach the tube hanger to the mines roof mesh using a bar. The bar slipped off the tube hanger and struck EE across the nose fracturing his nose. the fist day of work missed due to this accident was 2-27-2012.
Employee stated that on 6-23-11 he had struck the back of a mason hammer with a claw hammer and received a laceration to his thumb. In November, several months later he started to have problems with his thumb. On 11-04-11 he was examined and a piece of metal was embedded in his thumb. He believes this was from the incident on 6-23-11
Employee is a bathhouse attendant and was repairing a wash down hose by putting on a screw clamp. He was holding the hose and clamp with left hand and tightening the screw with his right hand. The screwdriver slipped of the screw and punctured his left hand which required stitches to close wound.

THE EE WAS POUNDING ON A CHAIN TRYING TO SEPARATE A LINK WHEN A CHUNK METAL FLEW OFF THE EDGE OFA LINK AND STRUCK THE EE.

EE WAS LIFTING THE BELT HARDWARE WITH SOME COMALONGS, HE LOOKED UP AND GOT SOMETHING IN HIS EYE.
EE WAS CUTTING A NYLON TIE TO PUT ON VENTILATION TUBING WHEN HE SLIPPED AND CUT HIS LEFT THUMB WITH A KNIFE. THE CUT REQUIRED 4 STITCHES.
