An Equipment Mechanic was performing maintenance on a loader pin when an impact gun struck EE in the chest. The employee was evaluated following the incident and, on June 24, 2026, was re-evaluated by a medical professional. During the follow-up evaluation, prescription medication was provided to treat the work-related injury.

Miner was using a hand-held grinder to cut sheets of metal. The metal shifted and the grinder slipped making contact with the miners left thumb resulting in stitches.

Maintenance employee hurt right forearm while chipping ice off BC2120 head wheel. Employee was using an electric demo chisel in the blistering cold weather around 11:30pm Sunday Jan. 25th. Both their forearm and elbow hurts with numbness in right hand.

Employee was working on the Silo spout 7B, was in man lift with another employee untangling cable. Started to get cable untangled and used spud wrench to turn motor until cables untangled. When they untangled it activated the slack sensor and motor was energized and began to spin spud wrench cutting employee left arm top of wrist 3" down

Maintenance was changing a vertical driscoll pipe. The rigging let go and a miner was struck by the pipe from behind. Bump on the forehead, sore neck, shoulders and upper back. EE did not seek medical until 6/8/25, that is when EE was put on restrictions.

Scope of the job was to utilize scrapers to transport overburden soil to fill in washouts along a slope within the mine with assistance from a dozer. In this process a scraper operator was braking then started to lose traction and began to slide sideways until the left front tire of the scraper dropped into a washout, thus jackknifing the scraper, causing the cab to overturn.
