Employee was cutting a 4" black iron steel pipe with a portable band saw. The saw grabbed the pipe and jumped up and the employee's hand went under the spinning blade cutting employee's fingertip off just behind the fingernail.

Mostrando los 7Removing the rock breaker from above the primary crusher. while hooked to the breaker with the crane the employee cut off the last bolt holding the breaker in place. once cut the breaker shifted backwards pinning the employees legs against the hand rail around the platform the breaker was bolted to.
Employees right palm of hand was cut while using a impact wrench to install bolt and nut fasteners retaining screen media.
On 8-18-11 at 4:50 pm employee was struck in the right hand by a falling rock causing a laceration to hand and middle finger.
Employee was operating an electrically powered hand drill, boring out a piece that was secured by a vice. The drill bit caught the metal piece dislodging it from the vice striking the employee on the left side of the face around eye area. The employee was wearing safety eye protection. The employee sustained a slight fracture of the left orbital.
While trimming metal tail pulley safety guard with a torch, a small piece of molten metal fell into employee's right ear. He had appt. w/ear doctor on 6/26/06 and is scheduled for ear surgery on 7/18/06 for perforated ear drum. He went back to the doctor on 7/12/06 because of irritation & received antibiotic on 7/12/2006.
THE EXCAVATOR WAS LOCATED @ BASE OF A SHOT THAT WAS BLASTED THE PREVIOUS DAY, W/THE BOOM POSITIONED PARALLEL TO THE MUCK PILE & THE CAP RIGHT NEXT TO THE PILE. THE EE WAS USING THE HYD HAMMER TO BREAK SOME OVERSIZED ROCKS WHEN A ROCK SLID OFF THE SHOT & ROLLED INTO CAB OF MACHINE. CAB OF EXCAVATOR SUSTAINED DAMAGE & EE RECEIVED 6 STITCHES IN RIGHT LEG BELOW KNEE.
