Mostrando los 7Employee experienced a diabetic emergency after being found to on the ground, unconscious and unresponsive. Employee has a known history of Type-1 diabetes. Local mine EMS was notified and employee was prepped for transport to a local hospital where employee was evaluated, treated, and released without restriction.

Employee initially reported that dirt/debris had gotten into EE's eyes during windy day. First aid was refused on site and C1 was completed. On 01/04/2022 employee went to optometrist and found that a microscopic object was lodged in left cornea. Object was removed.
While walking through the maintenance shop the employee succumbed to syncope. Employee fell unconscious without injury. The shop was well ventilated, well lit and the walkway was unobstructed and even.
Employee was grinding on a water tank when debris was blown into their eye by the wind. Accident date is 4/5/18. Treatment was First Aid. Injury became reportable on 4/6/18 when employee returned to clinic and received prescription antibiotics. Report was filed on 7/5/18 when prescription was confirmed. Employer was notified on 4/6/18 of prescription.
