Employee was attempting to use an overhead crane to straighten a piece of metal on the bed of an overburden truck. When tension was applied to the crane hook it moved and pinched the employees thumb resulting in an injury.

A chunk flew thru the back window of the loader hit the head rest deflecting the chunk towards the emp's right shoulder/back area. The chunk then flew out the front window. The employee was transported to a hospital.
