Employee was egressing the track hoe he operates when he missed the step. Employee states when his foot hit the ground he felt a pop and pain in his lower back. Employee finished working his shift and went home, overnight he continued to have pain so he went to doctor's office on the morning of 2-14-2013. He was given a Rx. and a "No work" till 2-22-2103.
EMPLOYEE WAS TRAINING BELT. HE INSTRUCTED ANOTHER WORKER TO TURN OFF THE BELT SO HE COULD REMOVE HIS WRENCH. HE APPARENTLY TRIED TO RETRIEVE THE WRENCH BEFORE THE BELT STOPPED. HIS HAND WAS PU LLED INTO THE PULLEY CAUSING A FRACTURED LOWER LEFT ARM AND FINGER AND LACERATIONS.
