Miner was repairing a torn belt using a utility knife. The knife slipped and punctured the top of miners right hand. No other conditions such as weather were a factor. Miner received three stitches, reported back to work the next workday.
Miner was attempting to get the tracks back onto a skid steer. While using wrenches, the zerk fitting broke, and employee's hand hit a drive sprocket. The impact caused a laceration and fractured employee's right pointer finger.
Conditions were dry and non-slippery. Conditions did not contribute to the incident itself. Miner was setting down a heavy rubber liner, when it bounced up, and metal edge on liner caught miner's finger. About 7 stitches, and miner was back at work.
