The employee was sliding a steel plate off the engine compartment of a portable screen plant when the weight of the plate transferred down. The hand was on the plate that was lifted up. The finger got caught between the head pulley scraper and the metal plate.

Mounting a tail pulley guard, while on the ground, the employee got up and sand & rock got into the right ear.
