A piece of metal broke off a bearing housing when employee was hammering the housing to remove the bearing. The piece of metal embedded in the left knee. A general surgeon is needed to remove the metal from the knee. This is scheduled for a later date.
According to the doctors report it would appear that there has been some inhalation of small quantities of coal dust and/or other silica containing dust. this is however, not sufficient for a diagnosis of interstitial lung disease due to occupational dust exposure.

Employee was palletizing rock when a slab slid off the rock bank into his foot and caused him to fall into the rock bank, which kept sliding onto his right hand. His right thumb was injured.
EMPLOYEE WAS ROLLING A ROCK OFF A BLUFF. WHEN HE STRAIGHTENED UP HE HAD A MUSCLE SPASM IN HIS BACK RESULTING IN A LUMBAR STRAIN.
EE WAS PICKING UP STONE TO STACK. WHEN HE WENT TO SET A PIECE DOWN, HE DID NOT GET HIS HAND OUT FROM UNDER THE STONE AND IT SLID DOWN AND SMASHED HIS FINGERS - CAUSING ONE TO BE BROKEN.
EE WAS STACKING ROCK WHEN A PIECE SCALLED OFF AND HIT HIM ON RIGHT FOREARM CAUSING A LACERATION ON ARM. RESULTED IN 3 STITCHES.
EMPLOYEE WAS HORSEPLAYING WITH ANOTHER EMPLOYEE THAT RESULTED IN HIS RIGHT SHOULDER BEING IN- JURED.
THE QUARRIES WERE PRYING ON A PIECE OF STONE AND A SMALL SLIVER BROKE OFF AND HIT EE IN THE HEAD.
EE WAS DOING SOME MAINTENANCE WORK ON DOZER. A PIECE OF METAL HE WAS REACHING FOR FELL-SMASHING HIS #4 FINGER ON LEFT HAND BETWEEN THE DOZER ROLLER.
