Rip Rap Chute plugged up, employee reached in to pull on rock. Rock jam broke lose, and pinched right hand middle finger. Finger was cut, hospital cleaned the wound and stitched the cut.
Operator was operating the skid steer cleaning up around crushing plant, dug down to deep edge of bucket came in contact with a piece of metal in the ground. Operator was thrown forward in cab, lower chest was struck by safety restraint. At the time of accident operator was fine, 1 1/2 hours later he started feeling nauseous went to hospital for exam.
A cow was loose in the pit and several mine employees were trying to herd the animal out of the road. EE aproached the cow to move it and the cow ran at him. When EE ran out of the way he twisted his ankle.
The miner listed below was drilling a hole into a piece of sheetmetal on an excavtor with a 3/8" drive electric hand drill. As the bit broke through the other side, the bit "grabbed" and started jerking. The drill slipped out of his hands and spun around striking his right hand.
Miner was helping loosen an impaler with a pipe wrench, when he strained himself. Miner failed to let anyone know that he was hurt until Wed. of the next week. Company policy states that any injury MUST be reported when it occurs.
Miner was hooking a chain onto an autocrane. Mechanic thought chain was hooked and moved boom to the side. The chain hook was caught in miner's gloves and cut his hand.

EE WAS CLEANING CAT WALK ONT HE SCREEN LOWER WHERE MATERIAL WAS FROZEN WITH A HAND PICK. HE WENT TO STRIKE THE PILE OF MATERIAL WITH THE PICK AND STRUCK THE HAND RAIL, CAUSING THE PICK TO STRI KE HIS LEFT FOOT.
