Employee was helping the welder holding a small piece of steel that was to be cut, in order to prevent it from falling abruptly, when the piece was cut the employee had difficulty and felt some bruising in his right hand, the hand appeared in good condition only a little swelling, later that day he felt pain in his shoulder.
Employee was repairing a battery of a Loader Caterpillar 980C, he turned his back to look for a grinder when the battery exploded. As a result of the battery explosion the battery acid came in contact with employee's left eye.
