Employee was skiving belt and was pulling knife with right hand toward his body and the knife slipped and then the knife stabbed the palm of his left hand. Cut required two stitches to close.

Mostrando los 33EE was cutting open a box of glue for the bolts with a razor knife. The box slipped resulting in a laceration to his left index finger.
EE and co-worker were working on a MRS. The chain had came off of the cable reel. The two men were removing the shield off of the cable reel. They were using a slate bar to pry the shield up. Injured had his fingers on the shield when it slipped off the slate bar smashing his left fingers.
Injured was standing behind a co-worker who was breaking the metal bands on a bundle of roof bolts. The co-workers grip slipped, this resulted the the co-workers elbow striking the injured in the mouth. The injured cracked one tooth, that was repaired on 4-3-08
Employee was using a slate bar to pry a lodged piece of metal loose in the raw coal chute to the #2 raw coal vibrator. The bar slipped, allowing his hand to strike against the flop-gate lever on the plant feed belt discharge chute.
Helping electrican make splice on shuttle car cable, employee cut his right thumb.
Torque tension bolt kicked out from the bolt wrench - striking employee's hand (L) & fracturing his middle finger.
Employee was pulling up on a 15 inch adjustable type Cressent wrench when he felt something pull in his left shoulder. He started missing work on 10/17/07.
Employee was using a hacksaw to cut a piece of 3/8" all thread being held by a vise. Employee was using left hand on top of right hand holding the hacksaw. When the saw cut through the all thread, his left hand struck the vise. He continued to work but the hand later swelled. Upon examination, he was found to have a minor fracture to the left hand.
Employee was using a pick hammer and masonry hammer to remove a mechanical splice. He struck the pick hammer with the masonry hammer and a piece of the pick hammer splintered off.
Bending metal plate on truck bed, while swinging the sledge hammer, something in lower stomach pulled.
Injured employee was driving a pin out a bed hoist cylinder on a rock truck with a slate bar. When the pin came out, the bar pinned against the dump bed catching his right middle finger causing a laceration requiring 8 sutures to close.

TWO EMPLOYEES WERE CUTTING A WIRE ROPE. ONE ACCIDENTALLY HIT THE OTHER WITH A PICK HAMMER (NO LOST TIME).
EE WAS PRYING CONVEYOR CHAIN THROUGH THE CONTINUOUS MINER WITH A SLATE BAR WHEN HE FELT PAIN IN HIS BACK. EE DID NOT MISS WORK OR REPORT INJURY UNTIL 3-22-04.
