Mostrando 50 de 493An employee was injured while crossing under an unguarded area of moving conveyor belt. The hood on their sweatshirt was pulled into a bottom belt roller, and as they attempted to free it, their left arm was drawn in between the roller and the belt.
Employee was going around a corner on a shuttle car. Their hand was on the handle on the canopy. They rubbed the corner of the rib with the canopy. They caught a finger between the hand hold and the rib causing a laceration that required stitches.
While using a tractor to pull a header to bottom, the operator drove over a head that had been dragged into the roadway, resulting in a jarring motion that caused low back pain. Started missing work on 2/26/2026.
Employee was making the turn out of the belt line when EE's shuttle car struck the inby rib causing a chunk of the rib to roll off onto EE's car and cab. The rib contacted the employee on EE's left arm and left knee resulting in 2 lacerations. EE received (8) sutures in EE's arm and (15) sutures in EE's knee.
Employee had pulled a diesel golf cart into a crosscut with the back partially in the road when a mantrip struck the rear of it. EE was getting back on the golf cart at the time and the steering column struck EE in the groin area. EE received bruising and an abrasion to EE's scrotum. EE was taken off work the next day as EE was unable to perform EE's job due to restrictions.
The employee was standing beside of EE's tractor (7024) when the 7041 tractor that was parked across the road from EE rolled into EE's right leg causing a laceration to EE's right leg that required sutures.
Employee was leaving a unit on EE's golf cart. As EE was preparing to turn on the road, a mantrip turned striking the front of employee's golf cart causing EE to bump EE's left knee. EE continued to work until 2/10/2026 and had surgery on 2/11/2026 on EE's left knee and was taken off work due to not being able to perform EE's normal work duties.
The operator dozed off while driving a mantrip, causing the trip to hit the rib. The operator hit EE's left knee on the dash of the ride resulting in sutures to close a cut. No work was missed.
A passenger of a mantrip that hit the corner of a rib was dislodged from the seat and landed on the mine floor. EE was diagnosed with two stable vertebral compression fractures in the spine. Started missing work on 12/02/2025.
Employee was driving a shuttle car on an outby construction project when EE's bumper rode up on the miner bumper and as EE pulled away the car dropped causing EE to hit EE's head on the canopy. EE was taken to the ER where no physical injuries were observed but EE was taken off work as restrictions prevented EE from performing EE's normal job.
The employee was operating the #2 Brookville locomotive on 41-butt intake along with another operator in #1 Brookville and a trip of cars. The locomotives lost control of the trip at approximately 47 break on the track going inby. At 58 break, the #2 Brookville struck the #1 913 scoop in the entry.
Employee was loosening a J-bolt on a bottom belt hanger bracket with right hand and left hand contacting the top chair for leverage. While loosening the bolt left small finger accidentally contacted the top roller causing a friction burn from contacting the roller. They received three stitches to the finger.
Employee reached down and picked up a come-a-long which had fallen out of position. As EE went to hang it back up, a rock of unknown size bounced off the belt and struck EE's left hand, nearly severing EE's index finger.
Employee inadvertently contacted the corner of the rib with the mast of the mini-trac causing a large chunk of coal to fall, striking the employee in the right hand. The employee sustained fractures and lacerations to EE's right hand. EE began missing work on 08/04/2025.
Employee was using a lo trac to compact contents of a dumpster. As they pushed down with the forks, they dropped suddenly causing the machine to pivot. Their left forearm was pinched between the fire suppression guard on the front of the machine and the fire extinguisher guard on the rear. This resulted in a laceration which required ten sutures.
Employee was standing in crosscut as a diesel scoop was pulling another diesel scoop. The chain hooked between the scoops pulled tight throwing a piece of rock striking the employee in the forehead above left eye. Employee received four sutures at the mine nurse and returned their next scheduled shift.
Shuttle car operator was turning a tight muddy corner, hitting the rib with the bumper of the car it jarred EE's hand loose from the handle on the canopy, causing EE's left arm to get pinched between the car and the rib. Operator received two stitches.

While shoveling on the slope belt, EE saw a rock bounce off the top belt and land on the belt rail. EE tried to pick it up, but it was heavier than EE thought. The rock fell towards the bottom belt and smashed EE's left ring finger and pinky finger on the top roller frame.
Employee was reclaiming belt framing on the old 4C belt when the lo-trac EE was operating came in contact with a piece of hanging framing that shifted contacting the employees left arm causing a laceration that required sutures.
Employee was shoveling on EE's knees under the belt. The area under the belt/roller here was 12 inches. When pushing the shovel under the belt, the shovel came in contact with the bottom roller pulling the shovel and the employees left hand into the end of the roller.

While traveling to #1 entry in a shuttle car, EE hit a bump in the haulage road, causing EE to strike EE's head on the shuttle car canopy. At the time EE felt pain in mid-chest and mid back area.
Employee was a passenger in a mantrip when the operator of the mantrip hit a rough spot in the road causing the injured employee to hit their lower back on the edge of the seat. Started missing work on 09/26/2024.
Employee was in the front passenger seat of a mantrip that was traveling the supply road to bottom when it drove through a clear curtain and struck the bucket of a diesel scoop that was backing into a crosscut. The injured employee hit their head on the mantrip resulting in a laceration on EE's forehead. Employee was taken to the ER and received glue on the wound.
Employee was pulling a trailer off the cage with a diesel tractor, the employee had hand resting on the bump stop in the pivot point of the diesel tractor. As EE made a turn, the ends of the tractor came together, EE's right pinky finger was caught in between the bump stops. This resulted in a distal fracture in the right pinky finger and also required 14 sutures.
While driving a golf cart, the front tire hit a rock causing the steering wheel to spin out of control and stopping the cart. The steering wheel caught EE's right hand dislocating EE's ring finger.
With very little space between the grader and tractor the grader went to back up as the employee proceeded to move between the two pieces of equipment. The grader turned around to look behind and accelerated in forward instead of reverse, catching the employees' leg between the two pieces of equipment. Resulting in a fracture to the right leg. Started missing work 6/13/2024
Employee was helping chain up a foot jack and boom on a roof bolter that was being supported by a scoop bucket when EE's right hand was smashed between the boom and scoop bucket. EE had surgery on 5/13/24.
While looking over right shoulder as EE was backing out of the x-cut, EE turned into a bundle of cribs on the left side. The cribs pushed into EE's lower left leg fracturing EE's left ankle.
While changing out belt on the 1st SE, EE was reaching into the diesel scoop bucket to re-attach the belt and asked the operator of the scoop to lower the bucket. Unaware that the foot was under the bucket, EE's foot was pinned to the mine floor resulting in a fracture to the left foot. EE began missing work on 4/30/24.
Employee had dropped the buggy cable that was hung. When employee walked around the corner, the shuttle car operator started the car. The slack that was on the ground reeled up hitting the employee causing employee to fall and hurt right shoulder.
Diesel Scoop was pushing shuttle car from the dump end, EE was in the shuttle car with left hand on the door frame. The bucket of the scoop slid across the cab of the shuttle car, pushing the door against EE's hand, mashing left ring finger causing EE to receive stitches. Employee was wearing gloves at the time of the incident.
The employee was crossing a shuttle car cable near the anchor. As they stepped on the cable to cross, the car picked up cable slack from two entries away causing the cable to contact the bottom of the employee's boot resulting in a fracture to their left foot.
Employee was backing a mantrip and struck EE's foot.
EE was hauling rock dust in a ram car, when EE ran over something in the road causing sharp pain in their lower back. EE worked until 4/2/2024.
The employee was using EE's ride and a strap to pull the needed miner slack on #7 road, EE placed the strap on the end of EE's boot that was in the operators compartment. Before the cable could be pulled the strap got under EE's rear tire causing the strap to be pulled towards the rear wheel causing EE's foot to be pulled out of the ride resulting in a sprained foot/ankle.
Employee was operating the #1 MUV lube truck when EE was attempting to pull into a crosscut. When pulling in, the MUV went toward the rib. Employee stuck EE's arm out of the operators compartment touching EE's palm to the rib. In doing so, the MUV cab contacted the back of EE's left tricep, above elbow, causing a contusion.
Employee was riding in a mantrip when the mantrip slid into the rib causing EE to bump the SCSR against the inside of the mantrip resulting in a bruise of EE's left hip. EE went to the doctor and was given restrictions and started missing work on 11/02/2023.
The Employee was traveling on 4-54 road at crosscut 5 when a roof bolt flipped up from the tire striking Employee in the forehead causing a laceration that required 5 stitches.

Employee was operating a scoop to off-load a loaded belt structure sled from a supply car. The sled got bound up. When it freed, the scoop bounced causing the employee to hit the top of EE's head on the scoop canopy.
Employee was splicing a miner cable in the LOCC when a battery scoop backed into them resulting in them being taken to the hospital and all tests were negative. Employee returned to full duty on 10/02/2023.

Employee was backing car up when EE's left got caught between the cab and the rib resulting in EE having a small fracture in their foot.
