Employee was helping their pin partner reattach the suction hose on a bolter when a rock fell from the edge of the installed screenwire and struck employee in the back of their left hand resulting in a small fracture. Employee is expected to make a full recovery without surgery being required.

EE was throwing miner cable over out of the way when EE felt a sharp pain in EE's lower back. EE was seen by a doctor on 4/1/2026 and placed off work for a possible pulled muscle.
While using a cutting wheel to remove a brace from a metal chute, the brace broke free and fell towards EE inadvertently causing EE to contact EE's right leg with the cutting wheel resulting in a laceration. (8) sutures were required to close the wound and EE was placed off work due to EE's restrictions.
Employee was making the turn out of the belt line when EE's shuttle car struck the inby rib causing a chunk of the rib to roll off onto EE's car and cab. The rib contacted the employee on EE's left arm and left knee resulting in 2 lacerations. EE received (8) sutures in EE's arm and (15) sutures in EE's knee.
The employee was using a belt knife to cut a piece of suction line and inadvertently cut EE's left index finger. (3) sutures were required to close the wound.
