Accident type, without injuries

Demolition contractor, ignited wooden frame in a building they were cutting up for scrap metal.

Fall to the walkway or working surface

This employee, along with 4 others, was hoisting a pump. The wire rope connected to the pump got wrapped around a rock on the ground. When it came loose it snapped and struck this employee across the upper chest. He was then lifted up and fell backwards down over the edge of the mine pit the pump was being lifted out of.

Emp. was walking out of pump house & stepped in hole on uneven ground & twisted knee.
