Over-exertion in lifting objects

Miner was lifting a stone to place on a pallet and strained lower back.

Employee was leaving for the day when they slipped on ice in the parking lot and twisted a knee.

Fall from machine

Miner was climbing down the ladder on a 35 ton haul truck. The ladder was broken and EE's foot slipped through the ladder while the ladder flipped up into the wheel well. EE fell backwards onto the ground 3 feet below. EE landed on EE's back with EE's leg stuck in the ladder. EE did not submit EE's injury report until 02/08/2022.

Miner has worked entire career at this mine repairing heavy and light equipment. The repetitive motion after years of using tools to repair mining equipment has caused carpal tunnel symptoms in right and left wrists and hands.
