Struck by falling object

Cutting down trees with chain saw, dead tree next to area fell from vibration of work activities (possible wind) As employee was watching and backing away from tree he just cut down a Dead tree in area fell on employee knocking of hard hat off and hitting arms and chain saw he was carrying. That employee sustained broken arm and fractured wrist.

Struck by falling object

A worker was removing cut stone from a cutter when he lost his concentration on the task. He lost his grip on a large piece of stone which then fell on his right hand causing a fracture of his thumb.

Over-exertion in wielding or throwing objects

Miner was splitting a piece of stone with a hammer and chisel when he experienced pain below his right shoulder blade. He is right handed and was hammering with his right hand.

Over-exertion in lifting objects

Miner was lifting a piece of stone while twisting and strained his lower back.

Struck against a moving object

Employee was operating a loader on a bumpy surface. He experienced pain in his lower back. Went to the Dr. Was given meds. to reduce swelling and relax muscles.

employee works at lifting and stacking stone. over the course of a month he started to feel pain behind his left knee. The pain continued to get worse so he reported it as an injury and requested to see a doctor.

Employee was lifting a piece of stone. He twisted and felt pain in his right elbow.
