Struck by falling object

Miner was picking up a piece of stone from a conveyor belt when a large piece of stone fell onto miner's right hand.

Caught in, under or between a moving and a stationary object

Miner picked up a piece of stone from the conveyor belt of a stone splitting machine. EE turned to place the stone on a steel table and smashed EE's finger between the table and the stone.

Over-exertion in lifting objects

Miner was stacking stone on a pallet by hand when miner felt a pull in wrist. It got worse overnight so miner was sent to the clinic. Miner suffered a strain of left wrist and was placed on restricted duty.

Struck against a moving object

The miner was driving a loader with the bucket very close to the ground. The bucket hit a stone and stopped abruptly. Although EE was wearing seatbelt, EE's upper body lurched forward and EE's head struck a switch on the ROPS pillar. EE was cut above right eye and required stitches.

Miner was attempting to re-attach a blower guard in the loader. EE's finger got too close to the blower fan and was cut by the fan blade.

Over-exertion (Not Elsewhere Classified)

Miner developed trigger thumb of right hand from doing repetitive motion tasks over 20 year career repairing mining equipment.
