HME operator was mounting a 988G FEL at the start of shift. EE bumped left knee on the bottom 2 step ladder mounting bracket (normal bracket). EE reported knee tightened up 5 hours into the shift. First aid/home care measures were followed until employee stated they could no longer walk on that leg 2 weeks later. The determination for work-relatedness was made on 11/29/21.

Employee was exiting service truck at the shop. Employee's right foot slipped from the bottom step of the vehicle. Employee fell on right side injuring hip, ribs and elbow. No witnesses to the event. Employee diagnosed with fractured 8th right rib and contusion to the right hip.
