Struck by falling object

Miner was splitting a piece of stone with a chisel and hammer when a piece of stone broke off and fell on EE's left foot. EE's left foot received a hematoma bruise.

Fall from machine

A truck driver/mine employee was on trailer supervising the loading of the trailer. EE took a few steps backward and fell off the trailer and landed on neck. EE sustained a fracture of the seventh cervical vertebra.

Struck by falling object

Cutting down trees with chain saw, dead tree next to area fell from vibration of work activities (possible wind) As employee was watching and backing away from tree he just cut down a Dead tree in area fell on employee knocking of hard hat off and hitting arms and chain saw he was carrying. That employee sustained broken arm and fractured wrist.

Worker was splitting a piece of stone when a small piece of the stone broke loose struck him on his left leg between the knee and foot, causing a contusion.

Worker was carrying a 35lb stone, when he twisted to put it on the stack he felt his left hip ""pop"". Left hip strain. Restricted duty, No lost time.

Two workers were carrying a thin piece of stone. The stone fractured and a sharp piece cut through one of the workers gloves causing a 3"" laceration to the top of his left hand proximal to his wrist. Laceration was closed with 5 stitches.

Loader operator was tipping a stone to be split when the back side of the stone blew out and a piece of the stone struck an employee on his left shin.
