17,998 current mining concessions held by 8,696 named holders in the Secretaría de Economía's cadastre, 1,302 of them in Coahuila, the coal state, and at least 0 mining deaths reported by the Mexican press.

A superb registry and a dark safety record. The Secretaría de Economía publishes every current mining concession with its holder, lot, municipio, state, surface and dates, on an open map service, and this page joins them into one page per holder. What no federal body publishes is a mine inspection, a sanction or an accident: STPS, the labour inspector for mines, publishes none of it, and Mexico has no tax id on the public register to tie a holder to anything else. The deaths here come from Spanish-language press, weighted toward the Coahuila coal region where the pozos are named landmarks, so every count is a floor; the drafted transparency requests ask STPS and the Secretaría for the records that would replace it.
