Miner was drilling a hole through some rubber flashing. Miner was operating the hand drill with left hand while supporting the section of flashing material from the back side with right hand. When the drill bit cut through it contacted the palm of the miner's right hand causing a laceration resulting in 6 stitches, antibiotics, and Tetanus shot. Restricted duty for 7-14 days.
Needed to move 50#-3/8"" steel plates. Plates adjacent cut the back of the base of right thumb. Required 4 stitches, but was able to return to full duty.
After pouring anfo into a drillhole from a 50# bag, EE had trouble standing up. He has had trouble in the past and did not report the incident until 9/22/06.

EMPLOYEE CLAIMED HE HURT HIS BACK SEVERAL DAYS PRIOR TO REPORT DATE (5/26/06) AND ASSUMED IT WAS FROM BOUNCING IN THE LOADER. WORK RELATED INJURY IS UNCERTAIN. INJURY RESULTED IN MODIFIED DUTY FOR 2 WEEKS, NO LOST TIME
Soreness in neck & right arm -accumulation over several months. Per miner - not sure how it happened or if job related.

Using impact wrench attached to air hose, removing nuts to repair crusher. Nozzle came loose from hose, miner raised arm in defensive move. Pressurized air lacerated arm. 4 stitches required. No lost time. restrictions include keeping wound clean and dry.
MINER ATTEMPTING TO DISLODGE ROCK STUCK IN DOZER BLADE USING CRANE FROM BOOM TRUCK. TOO MUCH STRESS ON ROCK CAUSING IT TO FRACTURE. PIECES OF ROCK FLEW OUT HITTING MINER ON FOREHEAD. MINER WAS NOT WEARING HARD HAT.
