A miner fell into the Tennessee River while attempting to take draft measurements on the barges parameter. EE had to cross from the permanent floating work-barge to the 1st empty barge EE was walking up-river on the barge. EE fell from the barge into the river workers immediately called for the Marshall County Rescue Squad.

Miner was prying on the track adjuster of a D9 dozer when the pry bar broke hitting EE in the forehead causing a laceration.
Operator was unloading railcars when operator missteped between surfaces falling into gap causing abrasions to left leg and thigh and also straining left shoulder.

She walked around the truck, swept out the system, after she got that completed she walked around the truck to get back in. As she went around to the driver side she slipped in the mud and twisted her left knee.

Employee was exiting the mechanical sampler building to change out his sample bag. As he was returning to the prep office he slipped/fell on left knee. The slip was due to sludge falling from the washdown of the rail unloading hopper. He worked every shift with no restrictions until his condition became painful and his doctor schedual surgery 01/15/07. Pre-exisiting knee injury.
The i/e was part of a 3 man crew installing handrails @ the barge loadout. 2 employees were moving by hand, 2 @ a time, 1"" steel bars to be used as the horizontal part of the handrail, to an area where the uprights were already installed. The i/e reported that he bent over @ the waist to pick up 1 end of 2 bars and felt a pull in his back as he was straightening up.

Following an accident at the barge load out, ee was pinned against the handrail of a barge. Other ee was in the area and saw the ee pinned. While attempting to free him, she was caught between two cables causing injury to her right leg and hip.
THE EE WAS ATTEMPTING TO DISLODGE THE STEEL CABLE AND ""D"" RING FROM A SHEEVE WHEEL. THE CABLE CAME OUT OF THE SHEEVE KNOCKING HIM OVER THE RAILING INTO THE OPEN HOPPER BARGE APPROX 12 FEET. HE LANDED IN 12"" OF WATER ON A STEEL BOTTOM OF THE BARGE.
The ee was attempting to dislodge the steel cable and D ring from a sheeve wheel. the cable came out of the sheeve knocking him into the coleman (handrail) of the barge.

WHILE CLIMBING DOWN FROM THE OPERATOR COMPARTMENT OF THE LOADER, THE EE SLIPPED FROM THE SECOND STEP (APPROX 35"" FROM THE GROUND) HE SLID UNDER THE LOADER STRIKING HIS RIGHT SHOULDER.
WHILE PLACING TOOLS ON THE BACKHOE THE EMPLOYEE HAD HIS RIGHT HAND ON THE OUTRIGGER FOR SUPPORT. THE TOOLS SLID OFF THE FENDER, LANDING ON THE RIGHT BOOM SWING PEDAL CAUSING THE BOOM TO SWING RIGHT, PINNING HIS RIGHT HAND. ANOTHER EMPLOYEE HAD TO REMOVE THE TOOLS TO FREE HIM. IT DID NOT BREAK THE SKIN ON HIS HAND BUT BROKE SOME SMALL BONES.
