Loader Operator was loading sand out of bank. Accord to supervisor, EE created an unsafe condition undermining the bank, backing out, the sand came down and into the windshield. At 11:45, EE was out of the loader assisted by others. EE's hands were cut from the windshield, & EE was taken to occup. physician, where the wounds were cleaned, antibiotics prescribed, & released.

Employee was removing bolts off the cutting edge of a loader. Was removing bolt and it slipped from hand and sharp edges cut low on thumb of left hand. Employee reported the injury. Due to the deep cut employee was sent to the ER not occupational physician. The cut was cleaned and they received seven stiches. No work restrictions and no lost days.

Miner was assisting others on a sand screw replacement in the crushing/screening plant. Cables were being connected and while passing a hammer to others, he slipped and fell, landing his chest area across the screw blade. He was taken to occup. physician at WorkWell in Bangor. He was released with light duty restrictions, and cleared to return to work.
