EE was lying on ground on his side, chipping slag off the weld bead, when a loose piece of slag went under his safety glasses and landed in his eye. Miner was uninjured but was unable to remove slag by himself.
EE was spot welding and a spark came off the lead tip & went into his eye. EE wasn't planning to weld yet and turned around & accidently bumped the trigger as it came in contact with metal object causing a spark to hit his eye & bounce out. His eye was burnt as the hot spark came in contact. He was wearing glasses & had his hood on, but it was up at the time.
