Struck by falling object

EE was at blending plant and heard something squealing. Noticed grease on a grease line and pulled line to see if it was still connected. When EE pulled the line, it was behind a steel rod causing the rod to fall over and hit hand between wrist and bottom of thumb.

EE was asked if they were going to be here all day, they said yes. EE said their back was hurting and wanted to go to the doctor. EE responded verbally and sent an email that it was not a workplace injury and that their back was hurting. EE went to the hospital. EE was released to return immediately to work and has not returned.

Per employee ""I was assisting with opening and closing the clamp as needed. The jaws of the clamp seem to have been worn resulting in not enough grip on the drill pipe. This caused the pipe to slip into the hole, hitting the tip of my left thumb against the clamp, resulting in an injury.""

EE was walking down the stairs at the MCC and slipped. The stairs were recently cleaned. EE caught self to prevent falling but in the process, bent the left thumb backwards.

WHILE OPERATING CATERPILLAR LOADER, OPERATOR HIT A BUMP RESULTING IN LINGERING LOWER BACK PAID. INJURY TO LOWER LUMBAR. STRAINED MUSCLE TRAUMA.

Chipping off clay from a track with a pry bar, missed track and hit left pinky finger on the track.
