June 25, 2020 ME · Metal/Non-Metal crusher attendant/operator, pan feeder operator/worker HANDLING OF MATERIALS
Steve McGee Construction LLC · Caught in, under or between (Not Elsewhere Classified)

EE was assisting in changing out a jaw wedge on our jaw crusher when one of the adjustment springs unloaded pinching two of EE's left hand fingers. The spring had not been checked to ensure no kinetic energy was left in the spring. EE's supervisor took EE to Workplace Health where EE's fingers were xrayed (no broken) and cleaned and stitched up (5).
